The dust bag works better than I expected.The base of the sander has 6 holes in it; the kit comes with a template to punch holes in the sandpaper after loading the sandpaper.When I went to empty the dust bag, there was a lot more sawdust in there than I anticipated.I did notice there wasn't much residue when sanding, but I still wouldn't sand anything in the formal dining room.
There is a pilot light built into the handle so you can tell at a glance whether it is plugged in.The on/off switch is very easy to operate, and very rugged.The grip is easy on the hand.
