(More customer reviews)The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was that the sander was not painted per the photo (white) but some crappy yellow that looked like a chinese farmer who just got a job in a factory painted it with a stick. All the lock levers and protractors were corroded, likely from a poor plating job (same factory, different farmer). I powered it up and the disc had a high spot of between .020-030" which makes it about useless for anything remotely precision unless you are adept at moving in and out in sync with the wobble. The miter gage is a real POS and of course the slot in the table is not the standard 3/8 x 3/4 groove.
The unit is heavy, which is good to damp vibrations but not so good if you want to returnit. The cost to do so is prohibitive (like $50).
Since I work for a manufacturing plant, I disassembled the unit, bead blasted off the chinese chicken dung paint and had the castings powdercoated white gloss (like the photo). I put the disc onto a lathe and took a light cut across the face to true it up. I bead blasted the underside of the cast iron table and remachined the groove to fit standard miter gages. Now it it a good sander.
