I bought this sander on sale for about $20.00, so the price was right. It is my first power sander, and I have used it with a variety of grits and on a variety of objects, from flat surfaces to molding. It is light-weight and for the most part easy to use. I like the rectangular shape, because it is easy to get into corners. However, there are a few problems with this sander.

1) The clips that hold the sandpaper in place: a) It's hard to get the paper under the back clip, due to the placement of the "dust collection" bag; and b) These clips weren't very strong to begin with, and seem to be loosening more with time. I am having increasing difficulty with the paper slipping sideways out of the clips, then tearing at the corner still attached, and coming completely loose from the front of the sander. At first this was only happening with lower grits (thicker sandpaper), but it is now happening even with 220 grit paper.
2) The dust collection system is useless.
3) I can't figure out what size paper it is supposed to use. The 1/4 sheet paper is too short and too wide, and the 1/3 sheet paper is way too long and a little too narrow. I've had to cut to size from larger sheets, and end up with odd shaped scraps too small to be of much use.

I suppose I have gotten $20 worth of use out of it, but I don't know if I will be able to continue using it unless I can figure out how to make the clips hold the paper more tightly.
